Marketing Consultants in Oldham
Unit 29 King Street
Booked a holiday in April 2012 for a holiday in Los Cristianos, Tenerife on 8th - 15th March 2013 and sent £200 . Received an e-mail acknowledging payment and advising me they would be in contact later in the year. When January came and it was only 6 weeks til our holiday and we had heard nothing we attempted to contact Worldwidemarketing on many occasions by phone and e-mail with no reply. Eventually we did get a phone call only to tell us the apartment was no longer available and they had no record of payment. After a heated conversation they eventually promised other accommodation in the same resort of same or higher standard. A further 17-18 days passed and we rang them yet again and were offered accomodation in Calleo Salvaje which is miles away from Los Cristianos and which offer we immediately turned down. As we only had 2 weeks til we were due to holiday and had booked our flights and transfers we asked for a REFUND. They then started to threaten us with a bill for the full cost of the holiday in Calleo Salvaje amounting to 650 euros which we didn't ask for and did not want, but they had gone ahead and booked. We submitted a further refund request which was turned down by their Legal Dept??? with threats to pursue us for the 650 euros. I phoned them for an address so we could write a letter of complaint but they refused point blank to provide an address. I would urge people to avoid this so called company at all costs!!! as even if you raised a court action you would not be able to furnish an address for the summons to be delivered. I'm so glad I'm not the only person whose been conned by Worldwide Marketing Solutions. They actively misrepresent themselves, if anyone has successful dealt with them I'd love to hear how.

Let me add yet another tale of woe about this bunch of cowboys. They called me, allegedly from Facebook and proceeded to selll me an advert on Facebook. Stupidly I went along with it (Duh!!). Try to cancel and get your money back - no chance. I have sent a recorded letter ro complain about them and, like so many others, have complained to Trading Standards (waste of time!). Next step is to take them to Court but it does seem a matter of wasting a lot of time and spending yet more with little chance of success. Any furtehr idea on how to get back at them and get some success?

I got caught into their trap a month ago and after realising being ripped off by them I started to research. I get more and more wild about seing ALL these people who lost money on World Wide Marketing! How on earth is it possible that they are still able to run their company??? I am not going to let that just happen and will try to connect with others to go to court! GRRRR!!!

Since then, i have reported them to the Police Fraud unit, the Trading Standards, Consumer Direct etc. Report them to as many Organisations etc. CALL Consumer Direct 08454 040506, Police 101. Call your banks fraud dept. Make sure you highlight the fact that you gave authorisation for 1 x debit, not monthly and that each debit othe rthan what was agreed to is a fraudulent transaction. Let them cancel your card - you will get another in 3 x days, no disruption to any other transactions. It is easy. They then can not fraudulently debit you.

I got a call from this company today. The told me they'd get my company up the list on google free for a month. I asked how much will this cost afterwards, a woman said £99, i said no thanks not interested, she replied "Why not?" I said to exepensive, she said "No its not, its £3.00 a day. I said no thanks and she put the phone down on my rather abrubtly. I wish i could have jumped down the phoneline and taught her some manners. Stay away from them!

World Wide Marketing (also previously trading as Net Search Media) I was contacted at the end of July 2011 by World Wide Marketing, explaining that they handle advertisement on behalf of Google. In fact I was lead to believe that they form part of or are owned by Google, that they are a Google company. I was offered a 1 x month trial at 99 GBP plus vat and a 20 GBP activation fee to be listed on Google's 1st page for 30 days for the month of August 2011 when clients key in the 6 x keywords that I supplied them with. I accepted and asked them to start advertising on the 1st of August 2011 for 30 days only. If I was then happy with the results and the feedback/leads generated from the listing, I could then extend it for a further 3 x months, alternatively they would provide me with 6 x weeks listings at a further 99 GBP. On or about the 3rd of August I was contacted again by them and offered an “upsell†service in which they would at a nominal additional fee add me to all the other search engines. Whilst I was talking to the chap trying to upsell me, I Google'd the 6 x key words which I gave them and could not find my listing at all on Google (remember I agreed to the offer of a 1st page listing and in return i will pay the agreed fee for the service which was supposed to have started 01 August 2011 and last for 30 days). He then put me on hold, came back with a long story and told me there was a technical problem and that it was now rectified and it will show the next day. Since he was very convincing I took the “upsell†product and since then have not seen my listing, not even once? Today I realised that they have debited me again (without permission) and that they now regard the agreement as month to month? They have now debited us; 25/07/2011 = 142-80 GBP 25/07/2011 = 58-80 GBP 05/09/2011 = 118-80 GBP. When I checked again today, not once could I using the search key words find my listing, not even on page 2 or 3? When I called them they told me that they explain to me over the phone that it was a month to month agreement (indefinite agreement) and that I should have cancelled it. I asked for a copy of the voice transcript. They don't want to give it to me and asked me to phone back later. During this “arm wrestle†for the copy of the agreement (the voice recording) with a very rude Simon, I was informed that they sent me the agreement (terms and conditions) to my e-mail on 2 x occasions and that I should have read the terms and conditions and that it is their protection and defence on the matter. When I could not find the e-mail, I asked them for the e-mail address used and realised that they had the wrong e-mail. As a result, I could not get the terms and conditions and could therefore not familiarise myself with the content and informed them of this. The same chap, Simon (he told me he is the manager) then got very rude and basically said that even if I did not get the terms and conditions; they still regard the agreement as legal and binding? I then by chance found on the internet many people who have been scammed by them (8 x pages of complaints, all the same) going back as far as 2005. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=2530467&highlight=world+wide+marketing So far, nobody seems to have been able to deal with them (i.e. the Police Fraud unit, The Trading Standards, Consumer Direct etc). Be very carefull. They also claim now to do Facebook listings.

This company has so far refused to refund me for Google placement even though they broke the terms of their own agreement by not agreeing key phrases with me.

This company have phoned me twice recently. They don't like taking "no" for an answer. Very cocky, pushy and rude. I have emailed them to complain. Awful people - I am LIVID. :-(

This company is little short of a criminal organisation. I have personally been threatened by one of their tele sales persons when I tried to complain (by being told my call of complaint was being switched to a call charge of £1.50 a minute - with a few clicks to try to frighten me) and laughed at by their supposed supervisors when I tried to complain about rudenes and insult bordering on the obscene. Anyone Googling any of these numbers; 01614258183 01614256353 01616372245 01615372243 (no doubt there are many more but that should be enough to convince anyone of reasonable intelligence) can see for themselves how I am not the first to be the victim of their very dubious telephone tactics. Incidentally they try to imply they are working on behalf of facebook or Google when phoning (and on certain web pages with a very hard to read disclaimer at the very bottom). They have absolutely no connection with Google or facebook and are not able to provide the services promised.

There is little else to say other than this is a scam. I don't know how they get away with it, but they do! You will not get the listing they promise and they will continue to charge you without authority. Avoid at all costs.
Shauna Gibbins - 07/12/2010 | report this review
Do not use this company. They don't give you fair usage terms and it is very hard to cancel their business, but they do keep on charging your card. AVOID! Furthermore they promised me listings that were not there and they never responded quickly to my emails. Not very good for an internet company! Again: AVOID! and do not use.
